John Canning joined Lindsay, Pickett & Postel as an Associate Attorney in 2025. His practice focuses on insurance coverage counseling and defense litigation, where he helps clients navigate complex policy issues, mitigate risk, and resolve disputes efficiently and strategically. Prior to joining the firm, John served as a federal attorney with the U.S. Department of the Navy.

John graduated summa cum laude from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law. While in law school, John clerked for a Judge in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, interned with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and interned with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. He later pursued advanced legal studies, earning an LL. M. in International Dispute Resolution from IE University Law School in Madrid, Spain.

In his free time, John enjoys traveling, spending time with his friends, and playing golf.
