An updated Cook County Law Division General Administrative Order (“GAO”) went into effect on August 29, 2022. Significantly, the Order outlines new motion and court call policies that are inching us towards in-person hearings.  Thus, after years of Covid-related remote court hearings, Cook County is taking steps to re-open and function as it did prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
