Howard Trafman obtained a not liable defense verdict in a case where Plaintiff, a stage-hand, was working at an event (President Barack Obama’s birthday) at the Aragon Ballroom and claimed to sustain a torn hip labrum which required surgery and a herniated disc which required surgery.  Plaintiff claimed she was assisting an audio/visual tech employed by the defendant company in packing up a mobile stage light when the employee lost his grip on the light thereby causing injury to Plaintiff.  The defense denied any involvement in the incident or negligence.  Plaintiff had demanded $900,000.00 to settle and asked the jury to award $638,389.00. Plaintiff was barred from claiming future pain and suffering for failing to timely disclose a subsequent accident. Verdico v. Sound Investments AV. May 2016.
