Jadyn Atteberry Wins Her First Jury Trial!
LPP associate Jadyn Atteberry secured a favorable trial verdict last week in Cook County in a complex multi-vehicle collision. At the outset, our client any involvement in causing the collision and wholly blamed the co-defendant who had hit Plaintiff, our insured, and an additional vehicle. The case proceeded to trial, with the co-defendant asserting that our actually struck him initially and caused his rear tires to blow out and a loss of control of his vehicle.
Jadyn exposed the co-defendant’s story as a work of fiction, demonstrating to the jury that the plaintiff, the responding police officer, and our client all had the same recollection of events. Ultimately the jury sided with the majority, making an award in favor of Plaintiff but attributing no liability whatsoever to our client. This result was extraordinarily pleasing to our client, and the presiding trial judge commented at the close of the case about Jadyn’s high level of preparation and her excellent presentment of the evidence.
Join us in congratulating Jadyn on achieving this terrific result for her client and in reaching a personal milestone in the life of a trial lawyer!
